The primary objective of this national park is to save endangered species like Royal Bengal Tigers and fish eating crocodiles known as Ghariwal. 73% of the forest is covered with dense moist evergreen jungle with huge natural plantation of of sal, haldu, papal and mango trees. Corbett Park also homes 50 species of mammals, and more than 500 species of birds, elephants, leopards, hog deer, rhinos and many more. A large number of migratory birds can be seen here during winters. One can peep into this wonderful wildlife either on a jeep or elephant safari.
